Q: When did you begin to show interest in hair and makeup, or beauty in general. What first inspired you?
A: As a young girl I was intrigued watching my oldest sister as she would do her hair and makeup. That was just the beginning for me. All through grade school I did my friend nails, hair, and makeup. Time would fly by as I was using my creativity and thats when I knew I wanted to make a career out of it. Its like I’m never at work!
Q: Name your style in one word, both personally and professionally:
A: Professionally: Natural/Detailed. Personally: Casual/Minimal
Q: If you could go back in time and give your younger self advice, what would you say?
A: Change can be scary, but you know what scarier? Allowing fear to stop you from growing, evolving, and progressing.
Q: Outside of work, what do you enjoy doing with your spare time?
A: Spending time with my family, enjoying nice weather, reading, movement (yoga/gym), exploring new places and restaurants. I’m also crafty!
Q: What is your favorite part of being on the Daniellestyle team?
A: I love the on-going education and attention to detail. There is alway a reasoning to why we are doing what we are, wether we are choosing a foundation for your skin type or deciding what tools to used based on your hair texture and desired look we are always putting our best efforts forward to make our clients feel their best.
Q: Have any secret talents?
A: I can wiggle my ears and do the splits!
Q: What is your favorite season?
A: Anything but the cold!
Q: If you could choose one super-power what would you choose?
A: Healing. I would love to replace fear with love in others.
Q: Whats inspiring you right now?
A: I watch a lot of makeup videos by Tamana and creating my own makeup style.
Q: If you could be anywhere in the world right at this very minute, where would you be?
A: On a beautiful beach with sunshine and a light breeze.
Q: What are you known for both professionally and personally?
A: Professionally I would say, being multitalented. Personally, having empathy and understanding different points of view. I’m also quite silly!
Q: What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
A: I always wanted to be a hip-hop dancer and I love to sing. I also spend a lot of time looking at the night sky when stars are visible.
Q: If you could hangout with one person alive or dead, excluding relatives, who would it be?
A: Intersting question, but too hard! I don’t know!
Q: Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?
A: I always thought I was an extrovert but the older I’ve gotten the more I’ve realized I’m an introvert, processing everything before I share.
Q: What are you most curious about in life?
A: The human mind and psychology.
Q: What motivates you?
A: Family connection, personal development, knowing when I change, we change.
Q: Who is your celebrity crush?
A: Hands down, Channing Tatum!! I almost fell out of my chair when I found out he was a new single man!
Q: What travel destination is high on your list?
A: Sydney, Australia, camping on the beach sounds amazing! Bora, Bora. Alaska to see the Northern Lights.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: I would like to be remembered for my warm heart, being a great mom, wife, daughter, sister and friend, and being a talented artist who helped people feel and see their beauty.
Q: What trends in hair and makeup would you like to see disappear?
A: Feather eyebrow and excessive eyelashes. Natural with glam is the way to go, bigger does not always mean better!
