Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. I want to hire Danielle for my event, but because my wedding is so far away I don’t know how many people will want their hair and makeup done. What are my options?
A. If you are unsure about the number of people needing services for your event and Danielle has the date available, we recommend booking services for yourself (the bride) at this time for $300.00. This ensures that you (the bride) will be well taken care of. If later during the planning process you have others to add on and will meet the $450.00 minimum and the time is available to accommodate everyone, services may be added. If the $450.00 minimum is met regular pricing will apply.
Q. How soon should I book hair and makeup for my event?
A. Whenever you are ready. Keep in mind that Danielle can book up to a year and half (1 1/2) out. So, to ensure availability, contact us as soon as you can.
Q. Can I (bride) just book Danielle for my hair and makeup only?
A. Absolutely! The fee for Bride Hair and Makeup only is $300.00
Q. What line of makeup does Danielle use?
A. Danielle uses a few different types of makeup, depending on the quality and usage for each girl. However, Kett & Mac are two of her favorites.
Q. What will I be using to touch-up my makeup?
A. During your Dry Run with Danielle, she will write down any products she uses for you that you may want to purchase for touchups. All products can be purchased online or at local St. Louis stores. You can also book Danielle for onsite touch up services. See bridal pricing page for details.
Q. How soon before the wedding should I schedule my trial run?
A. Danielle recommends setting up your Dry Run about three to four months before your event. If the time frame is smaller, then we recommend setting it as soon as possible due to Danielle’s limited availability.
Q. How long does a trial run take?
A. You should plan on spending about 2 hours with Danielle for your trial run if you are having both hair and make-up done.
Q. Can I schedule a trial run before booking my event?
A. Because of limited availability, Danielle is only able to provide trial runs for clients that have secured their event date via contract.
Q. What if I really don’t have any clue as to what I want to do with my hair or my makeup?
A. Look at pictures in magazines and online. Find a few styles that you want to try and during your Dry Run, you will be able to discuss and decide what will be best with your face shape, hair type, and event style.
Q. What do I need to bring to my trial run?
A. - Clean, dry hair
- Clean, moisturized face
- Bring your veil or anything you will be wearing in your hair
- Bring any pictures of hair and makeup you would like to try
Q. Where do you work?
A. Danielle has a single person salon on The Hill, but I do most of my events on location, traveling to you makes it less stressful for your big day.
Q. Once I receive my contract how long do I have before I need to return it?
A. We ask that your contract be returned within 2 weeks.
Q. If my wedding party is large, is it possible for Danielle to bring other stylists with her to cut down on the amount of time it takes to get ready?
A. Yes, that is possible. As Danielle has service minimums, so do the other stylists she works with. In addition to Danielle’s minimum, an additional hair stylist’s minimum is $360.00 and an additional makeup artist’s minimum is $240.00.
Q. Will you hold dates without a contract?
A. We pencil your event in when a contract is sent out. Once we receive your contract and deposit, your date will officially be booked. Booking, however, is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Q. If I choose not to have a Dry Run but still want to discuss some ideas before the wedding, are there any other options to discuss my ideas with Danielle?
A. Yes! Danielle also offers a 30-minute consultation for a fee of $50.00. This is additional to wedding day minimums.
